Behold the bodacious bagel! As any New Yorker will tell you, not all bagels are created equal. The best are made by hand, baked fresh and NEVER frozen (gasp in horror!). Owner Lisa Curtis, a Vermonter with solid Jersey roots, knows a damn good bagel when she tastes it and wouldn’t settle for less when she started offering them at Sweet Simone’s over 2 years ago. With dough made from scratch and proofed over-night for the perfect flavor and texture, she then hand rolls them, boils them and bakes them off fresh each morning.
Bagel aficionados exclaim her’s are the best bagels they’ve ever had and proudly proclaim their addiction. Have you ever enjoyed a perfect bagel hot from the oven schmeared with fresh cream cheese or Vermont butter? NO? Good heavens, you better get yourself down here on the double because you’re in for a treat, my friend.
